CIVITELLA del Tronto - On 17 March 1861 the Prime Minister Count Camillo Benso di Cavour in Turin Parliament announced the birth of the kingdom ' Italy and the assumption of the title and crown to the King of Sardinia Victor Emmanuel II of Savoy. While the tragicomedy "renaissance" was completed in the golden frame of the classroom Turin Neapolitan fortress of Civitella del Tronto still resisted the invader Sardinia - Piedmont Italian now!
